I have to admit, I actually mainly buy yarn based on how many yards there are per skein as compared to other similar yarns. Then I go by color, the warmth, and the drape.

Thanks KMA!!!!! I love fingerless mitts too! So useful, and I found out that although fingerless mitts obviously are missing the fingers, they keep the most susceptible part of your hand warm....
