how do do invisible join seam?

I knit a dishcloth in the round, but it needs to be joined together now. I Lready made one, using a join I thought would work....it's lumpy. Is there a way to do a join which is invisible? TIA!

what I use is a round ice cream container, hole in top covered with a large metal washer glued over the hole, both sides, so it doesn't catch the yarn. Cheap, pretty easy to do.
