The gap is right when I start the round and I already closed it, so I'm hoping that that is okay? I chose to do the YO method, seemed easier to do and understand.

I had to start over since my daughter unraveled and broke the yarn apart. I am now debating whether to do the eyelet round or just do a normal k2 p1 round as the pattern calls for.

I think this is the waistband of the soaker. After the eyelet round it said to work k2 p1 for the next few rounds. I made one round but it ended in a knit. What did I do wrong?

Thanks, now it says to K2 P1 for the next few rounds. When I made the first round I ended in a knit not a purl. So I'm not sure whether to just start the next round in a purl or not?
