Does anyone else have a difficult time choosing yarn?

This is the most difficult part of knitting! I can't tell how soft a yarn will be just by touching the skein in the store and I'm terrified of ordering online! This is by far the most frustrating...

WOW, that is a HUGE difference! I may block a ribbed scarf I made (first project) bc the ribbing is pulling in and you can't see that it's even ribbed. I wonder if blocking would make it slightly...

My ribbed scarf pulls in and you can't see the ribbing! help

I finished a ribbed scarf in K2, P2 with size 8's in caron simply soft. It looks cute but you can't see the ribbing because it pulls in-all you see is the K's. You have to actually stretch it to see...
