I think it's the pattern on the gusset that's confusing me 'cos the setup row begins with the same pattern edge as the gusset. ie k2tbl, p1, k1tbl, k23, w&t.

I know, but with the larger needles it was just looking like a tangle rather than a lace. It is more like a knitted piece with lace and less like just a holey dish cloth now.
