I actually had this same question. :) Another way you can do it is knit into the second stitch,make sure you keep the stitch on the needle then knit the first stitch and then let them both drop off...

I just got a new book of dishcloth designs, and it has left twists and right twists. I understand the left twist, but I'm not too sure about the right twist.
