That is a great tutorial, thanks. At the moment I'm knitting a mosaic jumper for DH and am not far from starting the underarms/neck so will give this technique a try.

It's a jumper-not socks

Finished this off for my sisters GS. Had to sew all the ends in after weaving them in as the yarn (Patons smoothie) is notorious for poking through to the outside. Very easy pattern...

Salmonmac, do you have a link to a good source for instructions for 2x2 tubular bind off - I would love to try it. At this stage I only do 1x1 tubular bind off.
