I would never have thought that. I would have knit 6 then decreased by k2tog..... I have so much to learn... How did you figure out to knit 4 before doing the k2tog?????

What does it mean when the pattern says Work even for 21 rows....

the WS (wrong side) appears to be straight knit (placing markers)
*the RS (right side) is as series of ssk before a marker and k2tog...

I keep having the same problem - and I started to just slip the first stitch. It makes it easier to seam and to add on to the sides too!!! I figured this out when I learned to knit a sock!
