Yet another magic loop question

I'm making 2 socks at once for the first time using magov loop. I seem to be getting yarn overs on the last stitch of each side. Any tips on preventing these? TIA

I'm going to echo what the other posters said. I have the Denise set and often join the cables. I've never had a problem with the yarn hanging up on the joins; they are really smooth.
