They look very good to me and I can't see any warts at all. My first pair had more mistakes than correct stitches but they still served the purpose of keeping hubby's feet toasty.

The post stitches aren't giving me any trouble since I figured them out, unless I'm doing them wrong that is. I have more trouble trying to remember to do the extra wrap for the trebles.

It was the bolded part I was having trouble with. For some reason I just couldn't wrap my mind around the instructions. I did find a post and video on Ralverly that helped a lot in figuring it out....

I think they make them in those colors because Aran is a traditional style of Norwegian Fisherman sweaters and all of those were made from undyed wool. Even with the light color the stitches pop out.
