Knitting with Bamboo Yarn

Does anyone have a pattern to suggest for use with bamboo yarn? I'd prefer something for women, but could use patterns for others.

Knitting for the Troops

My original idea was knitting for the injured soldiers, rather than for the troops at large. (Not that they don't deserve it!)

After seeing the stories about the poor care some vets are getting and...

Knitting for the Troops

Putting all politics aside regarding the war in Iraq, I think we all are united in our desire to support our troops in any way we can. To that end, I began sniffing around the Web, looking for...

Thanks for the kind words - it's my own pattern. I had a lot of fun making it, and my cats love him! :-)

Bad English

"Free Gift" - Isn't that what makes it a gift...it is FREE??

I also hate 'cute' spellings - donut, for example - or kwik for quick.

See http://www.eunnyjang.com/knit/2006/05/secrets.html

It is just one color there, but you might be able to do it in two.

Good luck!

Knitting in the Round

One more thought - when you do you gauge sample, don't do it the way you usually would. Instead of turning the work over and K one row, P one row, at the end of each row, carry your yarn loosely...

Baby Bucket

I don't have the intended wearer available for photos, so I apologize for the staging. This is my version of a baby bucket hat, for my nephew, Ben.

I added the "fishing lures" to macho it up!
