I may have to give it a try Suzeeq ... I wonder if it will give a nice consistent tension right from the get go. After doing alot of long tail cast ons, my hand can ache.

Cast on Thumb method?

I downloaded a Sirdar (from the UK) pattern today and it says "using thumb method cast on 48". Does that mean long tail? Thanks in advance. The pattern is for a baby shrug.
