I'm in a bit of a slump right now and it bothers me. I'm more interested in reading but I'm drowning in yarn.

Yes. Here is the heel that I usually use >>>>

Row 1: Sl 1, K1, repeat across
Row 2: Sl 1, Purl across

It makes a nice strong heel and is easy to do.

But there are several different ones. Use the one you like. :)

Usually you can google errata for books by typing in something like errata stitch and bitch. Also, try typing in the author's name with errata and see...

My first pair was bamboo, for $3.

Now I'm an Addi junkie, but the Chiao Goo's were great for starting.


And I'd recommend about a size 8 and some worsted weight yarn.
