lining mittens

I'd like to line the inside top section of convertable mittens with some fleece for extra warmth. Any suggestions on how to make a good fit without extra bulk at seams?

gloves:holes between the fingers help

How do you avoid the holes between the fingers when knitting gloves? Or at least decrease the size of the holes so there isn't so much finishing. What am I doing wrong?

I am currently working on a cropped cardi with a curved center front. What would be the nicest looking increase & decrease to use on the fronts? I will also be adding a crocheted edge to the front.
