The needle part is to long for knitting in the round.I had the same problem and had to go to a 4" needle. I use Hiya Hiya needles. They work great.

I have made many things from CSS and it washes...

I have made many things from CSS and it washes and drys up great.I don't put in a dry sheet though because I read somewhere that the dry sheet will make the item pill.
