I am knitting Patons Hepburn Cardigan. It has given cable in graph form saying the pattern covers 6 rows. From my understanding I am cabling on WS as well instead of knitting knits and purling purls....

Silly me. The pattern has a cuff so the ribbing was approx 15cms long. My daughter didn't want the cuff so I halved the rib. Forgot to factor that into the sleeve length. All's good and thanks for...

Morning all from sunny Sydney. Problem! Cardi pattern says increase every 10th row in sleeve, then knit to x length and start decreasing. Problem is that the sleeve is too long and haven't finished...

If I want to use the same pattern eg. hooded cabled cardigan, but without cabling, just using the style, do I need the same amount of yarn. In other words, does cabling use more yarn?
