***Multi-Color Tails??***
Hi All

I made my son a hat yesterday and decided to try my hand at making him a multi-colored scarf to go with it. I'm only using three colors but when I start another color, I end up having long tails on the side. Is there a more secure way, instead of just weaving in the ends, to fix these into the pattern? I'm still new at this and I don't think I can bind them off since I'm adding a new color every eigth row and need the loops open, right? Can anyone help?

Was I even supposed to cut the yarn when starting a new one or keep it attached?? LOL
