Couldn't agree with you more about the thanks.
Alot of people spend time and effort replying to questions - even if someone replies with an answer from 'the top of their head' - it takes up time writing replies.
I've seen it happen quite a few times where members have trawled the web, mooched in books, wondered where there could be an answer and when they post the solution, receive scant regard or acknowledgement. If this happens over a period of time, it can become quite demoralising.
