Hey, why spend good money?

Go to google.com and do a search using the words "free sock pattern".

You'll get TONS of websites. Browse them to your heart's content. And when you find a pattern you like, just select the text by putting the curser at the start, press the shift key and down-arrow to move the curser to the end of the instructions. Go to the top menu bar and click on Edit-Copy.

Now open a blank page in your word-processing program. Put your curser at the top then again click on Edit and select Paste.

For the illustration/s on the website, you can usually point your curser at the illustration or photo and either right-click and select Copy Image then go to your word-processing document and do Edit-Paste again, or - you can point to the photo, click then hold down your mouse and drag the photo to your word processing document and release the mouse.

You'll find all the sock patterns your darling little knit-wanting heart desires!
