baby yarn for a baby blanket
I love to knit, but usually crochet baby blankets. Since they're 'holey', I tend to double up the yarn (hold 2 strands at once). I'm going to knit a blanket. I bought Bernat 'Softee Baby', and am debating whether I want to use it single or double-stranded.

I'm thinking about making this:

But also like this:

Do you find single-strand thick enough or is it too flimsy? Does it depend on the pattern?
