Problem w/instructions regarding short rows
Mornin,

I'm currently doing a diagonal lace shell in garter stitch worked in 4 steps (lower front triangle with center increases, right side section w/short rows, left side worked to correspond & top neck section). I have completed the lower triangle of front and a bit confused about working right side. Instructions are as follows:

Continuing on the sts retained on needle, work short rows as follows:
Row 1: K to end, turn; inc 1, PM, k to last 2 sts, k2tog.
(Note: from now on, you'll be leaving an add'l stitch unworked each time you turn)
Rows 2 thru 5: Sl 1, k to marker, RM, k1, turn; inc 1, PM, k to last 2 sts, p2tog

I'm not understanding where the unworked stitch is each time I turn. Is it the slip stitch? I'm just not quite wrapping my brain around this one.

Appreciate any assistance ...
