Oh the projects and oh the ideas! I'm wanting to make a friend a scarf for her birthday next month. I found a pattern for a dropped stitch scarf on ravelry that I love. I just don't see how when the stitches are dropped that it doesn't unravel. The pattern is:
o Row 1: K6, *YO, K1, YO twice, K1, YO 3 times, K1, YO twice, K1, YO, K6*,
repeat between ** across.
o Row 2: Knit across, dropping all the yarnovers as you go.
o Row 3 & 4: Knit
o Row 5: K1, *YO, K1, YO twice, K1, YO 3 times, K1, YO twice, K1, YO, K6*,
repeat between ** across, ending with a K1 instead of K6.
o Row 6: Knit across, dropping all the yarnovers as you go.
o Row 7 & 8: Knit
Can someone explain this to me because I've accidently dropped stitches before and the several rows before that unravel in that one area. So how does this work?
