By way of intro:
Wife of 35 years, mother of 2 grown boys, teacher of 30+ years and am now on the verge of retiring. After years of educating others and completing my post-grade degree, I've taken up knitting again. I came across this site, looking for an easy sock pattern.
Foolishly, I got the itch to make my own socks after reading some sites and seeing what others have done. Never having made socks before, I thought I could handle the task and bought some yarn (no, that's not right - a lot of yarn ) through KnitPicks; joined a monthly sock club - BIG MISTAKE!
While I have been knitting on/off for over 30 years, I never used a chart. I have no clue what I'm doing. I got as far as turning the heel on a toe-up sock and now need help desperately. Good exercise for lace work as the holes I've created are pretty consistent! HELP!!!!
