I'm knitting a short cardigan in stockinette and the left and right front says, before begining the purl side, cast on 7 stiches then purl to the end of the row. I'd tried using the wrap on cast on and didn't work and then with the cable cast on, but there's like holes where I'd added the new stiches

What can I do?
