A good use for a lampshade.
I was just reading a forum in Ralvery about how this lady had issues with winding a ball...ive sooooo been there done that...of course the subject of ball winder and swift came up and then the cost of the two and then the suggested substitutes started rolling in....LOL

this one is good! I had to share!

I was told that a good substitute for a swift is a lampshade-- loosen the finial until the shade can spin freely, drape the hank around it, and wind away.
I am definately using this idea!!
