It's usually easier to put markers between the stitch repeats - I believe that's 14 sts for this one. Then you only need to count between markers.
What helps is to look at the previous RS row and name the sts rather than count them, so you'd begin at the edge sts then R 3 for example would be - 2 knits, over, k, over, 4 knits, dec, 4 knits, over, k, p, k, over, 4 knits, dec... etc. That way you can tell if you forgot to pass the slip st over the k2tog in the dec, or forgot to do a YO or made one too many.
