yeah i dont think she wants it to be able to go over her head like those.. ive seen the scarves shes talking about at the store... they are a little bit wider than a sleeve but yeah, a scarf, just two sided like a scarf would look in the round without the ends hemmed..

i'm looking to make a scarf that i've seen in stores. it's like a tube. you can put your arm all the way through it but you wear it like a normal scarf. i have an idea of how to make it but don't know what it's called or how to find a pattern for one.

but if you want it garter stitched just switch from knitting to purling each round..
