Yep, you can decrease them that way or the other way around. Though I like to do them before and after the beginning of round. Come to the end of round, dec, k1, slip marker, k1, dec, or with only 1 st between them. That way they appear to be on the same round instead of one slightly higher than the other. Or you can do a double dec, slip 2, k1 psso. The middle st would be your 'seam' stitch.
