In this case, your increase is very simple becasue you are being asked to increase on row 1 each time, which is simply a knit row, therefore when you increase work the row like so...
row1: K1, M1, knit to last stitch, m1, k1

I would suggest using paired M1L and M1R, so as to have the slants leaning opposite directions as the sleeve widens, but you could just do all M1L or all M1R or all kfb. It is up to you.
Remember, as you will be seeming up the seam, the seam and the increases will be hidden on the under side of the arm.
