This is a decrease which will lean to the right. Take the steps one at a time: slip 1 as though you were going to knit the st but just pass it to the right needle. Do this with the next st then slip both sts back to the left needle. (You've basically reversed the orientation of the sts.) Now knit the 2 sts together as usual. It makes a tighter stitch than a plain old knit2tog. The Glossary tab at the top of the page has a video of slip one knitwise if you'd like to see that.
