Scarf pattern - basic questions
I'm taking a look at this scarf pattern here that I might attempt at some point in the near future (why? I'm a total newbie and I tend to bite off more than I can chew. Lol) and I have a couple questions.

Quote:
Rows:
1 and all odd rows: purl all
2: k3 (ssk, k5, yo) k1

I know that "ssk"=slip slip knit, but how exactly do you do that?

Also, I've read what a yarn-over is, but since I've never tried it, I'm not too familiar with how it's done. Is there a video someone can point me to? And does a yarn-over in this case count as a stitch?

Thanks!
