K44 and turn, leaving rem sts on a holder You're only working on the shoulder stitches--the center ones will be for the neck.
Work each side of neck separately.
Dec 1 st at neck edge of next 3 rows, 41 sts Only decrease on the edge closest to the center--the edge by the neck. Work 2 rows, ending with RS facing for next row (I get this part)
Shape Shoulder
Bind of 14 sts at beg of next and foll alt row Bind off 14, finish the row, purl back, bind off 14 at the beginning of next row.
With RS facing, rejoin yarn to rem sts, bind off center 35, and K to end
Complete to match first side, reversing shaping.
Now, using a new strand, bind off the center 35 and finish the row. The other shoulder will be worked, with the decreases at the neck edge, and binding off the same way you did the first shoulder--from the outside edge in (you'll be on the purl side tho)
