It looks to me like you'd need 85 sts to do row 1 and I get 7 sts increased.... I could be wrong, your scan is a little blurry. But it looks like this is how it reads -

k4, y.o, k2 tog,) twice, k4, y.o, k1, place marker on needle, k1, y.o, k1, y.o, k2 tog., k4, y.o, k2 tog., k1, y.o, k1, place marker on needle, k1, y.o, k10, y.o, k2 tog, k4, y.o, k2 tog, k10, y.o k1, place marker on needle, k1, y.o, k1, y.o, k2 tog, k4, y.o, k2 tog, k1, y.o, k1, place marker on needle, k1, y.o, k4 (k2 tog, y.o, k2 tog) twice.

Sue, I agree but I think the last section after the marker is k1, yo,k4(yo,k2tog,k4) twice. It is blurry and a little hard to read so I may be dreaming.
