Perhaps you can leverage this as a business opportunity! Not only would you pick up all the free patterns you could stand, you'd make a little coin on the deal as a bonus.

One of the things my girlfriend and Yarn Jedi Kninja Master does as part of her business is proof and edit patterns. Usually this involves knitting a sample of the pattern and noting where things are left out or badly explained. And it happens a LOT, even with people who have been writing patterns for years.
