We can make our own! This is the simplest recipe I found.
Electrolyte Water Recipe
1 liter of water
1/2 tsp of baking soda
2 tbsp of agave nectar
1/2 tbsp of sea salt
Combine all ingredients in water bottle and sip during workout as needed.
Many call for fresh-squeezed orange juice, one recipe said sub frozen concentrate. One said only use distilled water. Some call for honey; others, sugar.
None I came across said to use atificial sweeteners. I think it depends on how picky you want to get. My usual habit is to eat some salt out of my hand or put some in a glass of water. If it tastes oh, yum, delicious!
then I need it. I suffered for many years because I needed salt but all medical advice is to cut back. I've come across a number of references to ill effects of salt restriction lately.
