I, too, am leery of adding buttons to baby things. It's one thing if it's for your baby and you know you have to keep an eye on them at all times when the buttoned thing is around, but when it's for someone else--in my case, someone I've never met, I worry about a hurt baby and upset parents and law suits. Fort those reasons, I would recommend avoiding buttons any way you can.
