If your budget can stand it, you might look into something silk-blended or something like Knitpicks Comfy, which is cotton with 25% acrylic. If the pattern can stand DK weight (which might be better for spring anyhow) you could look into cotton/linen blend. Another thing to remember is that cotton doesn't always hold very deep or bright colors well, so you might want prints or pastels.
Sounds like KnitPicks Comfy is a possibility! One quick question...will the acrylic in the yarn cause it to get fuzzy and worn-looking more quickly? I made a book cover recently out of all-acrylic yarn, and it is already rather rough-looking. Granted, it is 100% acrylic. Maybe the small amount in KP's Comfy won't make any difference...?

Thank you all for your help!

"Who shall find a valiant woman? far and from the uttermost coasts is the price of her...she will render him good, and not evil, all the days of her life. She hath sought wool and flax, and hath wrought by the counsel of her hands...her fingers have taken hold of the spindle. Favor is deceitful and beauty is vain: the woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised." ~Proverbs 31
