So this is now row 9 of the fleurette? In order for the fleurette to line up correctly, all the rows need to start at the same place. The way to check this is that the fleurettes do line up. If they're off a stitch, then the beginning of the sets of 34sts was incorrect. Since the pattern is for 6 + 5 and you have a multiple of 6 + 4, you have to leave off a stitch at the beginning or at the end. The pattern wants the stitch left off at the end. That's why the directions say "...ending k2" for row 5, size small (Waist shaping, line 6).
The 34st pattern is:
Row 5 k2 *k1, yo, ssk,k1,k2tog, yo rep from *to the last 2sts ending k2 (not k3).
Row 7 k4, *yo, k3. Repeat from * (without the final k1)
Row 9 k2, k2tog, *yo, ssk,k1, k2tog, yo, S2KP, rep from * to last 8 sts, end, yo, ssk, k1, k2tog, yo, ssk, k1 (instead of k2).
