FO: Afterthought heel socks
Some of you might remember a conversation about transforming an unfortunate short row heel into an afterthought heel. Well, that's the result.

I can't say that I love them, I think the yarn is too busy and it was pooling so I had to use broken rib pattern but it was good practice for a different sock construction. I think they were very fast socks because the afterthought heel is basically another toe, so it's easy to make. The heel fit is OK but not perfect, it's hard to guess how many stitches should be left to graft, so that it's not too pointy or too shallow.

But I think the socks got approved by my son who endured the photoshoot on the playground after which he decided to keep those socks on Thanks for looking!

My kids are my inspiration. I am mostlymom on Ravelry. I also have a local blog Halifax Charity Knitters
