Left handed knitting is a whole different thing. It's where you actually knit the stitches from the right needle to the left. Most left handers actually knit right handed so they don't have to change the pattern since the vast majority of patterns are written for right handers.

Continental and English are the most common of several methods of knitting. In continental you carry the yarn in your left hand and English you carry it in the right hand.

What you'd need is to learn to knit backwards like the link GG posted.
