I am making a large garter stitch bag. The piece I have on the needles right now is the main body of the bag and its 13 inches wide. I have around 2-3 inches done so far and about 52 inches to go. I guess the piece isn't heavy enough yet.

Straightening the cord with hot water isn't really an option as its in use right now.
