I like to use tapestry needles with large eyes because I'm old. It's getting hard to thread a needle. I get mine from Walmart. I use the type for plastic canvas. They have large eyes and are blunt on the bottom. I weave mine in and out, then turn and go back over what I've already done. You can stitch into the yarn splitting the ply's to anchor it in place better. I like to do my weaving vertically rather than horizontally. This prevents it from coming out when you stretch it. I like metal needles, not plastic. If you pull too hard on them, you'll split the eye of the plastic needle. You can also get a plastic canvas yarn needle threader. I hung a pair of folding scissors around my neck with a cord and had the threader attached to it so it was always handy.
Welsh corgis are cool.
