stockinette stitch (again)
Dear All,

This is a fantastic site--I am so glad I stumbled across it...thank you Amy and everyone else for sharing your advice--it's quite difficult to learn how to knit from a book, so the videos were super helpful for Beginner Me.

I have a question about stockinette stitch using Continental-style. I seem to be finally getting the hang of alternating rows of purl and knit. But when I look at the end result, a vertical line of "V"s are alternatingly uneven: the "V"s done when I'm purling are bigger on the right, and the "V"s done when I'm knitting are bigger on the left...i.e., there's no nice even vertical lines of stitches. Is this a tension problem, or am I doing the stitches incorrectly?

Many thanks,
Stephanie
