Strangely enough... as a designer, I find myself artistically challenged. I often joke that I can't draw a straight line with a ruler. The way I've always designed is that I get a picture in my head, and I use whatever means necessary to get that picture on my hook {or now, on my needles}. I really liked the page at planetshoup since it gave me pleasing combinations for stripes and such when I didn't want to go with equally sized ones. I second guess my work *way* too much to "trust" myself on something like that. Weird... I know!
