I'm getting ready to knit the "Grace" sweater from Knitty and I want to make sure I understand the pattern before I begin.
The directions say:
"With smaller needle, CO 77[81, 87, 95] sts. Beg with a WS row, work 3 rows in garter stitch.
Change to larger needle and work even in St st until piece measures 5.5[5.5, 6, 7] inches from beg."
The part I'm unsure about is in bold. Why is it telling me to begin with a WS row? I thought with garter stitch there wasn't a "wrong" side? Or, is that just so that when I begin the St st, I know to start with a RS (knit) row?
