You have some stitches left on your needle, right? Use the working yarn that you've been knitting with, cut it like Sue said, and thread that on a needle. Put the needle through the actual stitches that are on the needle and let them off the needle and onto your threading yarn.

When all of the stitches are on the yarn, pull tight like a drawstring.
