My favorite is Misti Alpaca. It runs about $13 for a 108 yards and comes in tons of colors. It is heavenly to wear and to work with.

They have a really pretty free scarf pattern that uses one skein and is very easy.

I have had a difficult time finding it in stores, though you can find it online.
