I would definitely contact the company you purchased the yarn from. It doesn't cost you anything to send them an email, and you may be surprised by what you get in return. I often contact companies when I am not 100% satisfied with a product I have purchased. I nearly always receive some sort of compensation, coupons, a replacement item, a refund check, you just never know. Even if they just tell you that you have to deal with those issues from their yarn, at least then you'll know if you want to continue purchasing the yarn in question.
