You will get there. The best way to get to where you are making these more "complicated" patterns is to make one! If you run into problems you can always ask here. You will be surprised at how easy the paterns are if you just take them one row and one stitch at a time. Don't let the 200 rows of "complicated" directions bog you down. Get a stitch or row counter (inexpensive ones are available at JoAnn) get the right needles and yarn and make something! You can do it!!
