Jints, the first two from Royal Yarns are exactly it, especially the first one with the ribbed borders (the Casual Friday Vest). I personally like the third one from the Needle Nook website, too. Knittingnat, that's it (and I like that one) but she wants it to button up. I guess you're right, but I am a slow knitter and it's a pretty big investment of time for me if she won't wear it, and that is a real possibility. But it will be a gift, so I guess she can do what she wants to with it.
